McKinsey estimates that AI agents could mediate $3–$5 trillion in global consumer commerce by 2030, while generative AI could create $2.6–$4.4 trillion in annual economic value. Reuters reported in August 2026 that Anthropic expected to present a total addressable market above $30 trillion. These are third-party category forecasts and a reported company estimate—not Hood revenue projections.
HIOP is being built for the trust, identity, authority, execution, and evidence infrastructure required by that transition. The commerce number is the first ring. Robotics, critical infrastructure, scientific systems, and mission or orbital assets are additional high-consequence markets where the same authorization problem appears.
As software moves from producing answers to taking actions, organizations need a separate control question: who is authorized to cause which effect, on what resource, under which policy, and with what evidence afterward? HIOP is designed to sit between intelligent systems and consequential digital or physical effects without depending on one model vendor, tool route, or communication channel.
Hood's primary market is not every AI user. It is organizations putting agents, software, or machines in a position to change money, data, access, infrastructure, equipment, or mission state.
