What it is

HIOP at the edge.

The product direction is a managed appliance that can enforce an approved local authority boundary when cloud connectivity is limited. Loss of connectivity must not expand what an agent may do, and an unknown execution outcome must not be treated as success.

Identify
Persistent identity for people, agents, devices, and assets.
Authorize
Evaluate whether the actor may cause the requested effect under current policy.
Control
Allow or deny the approved action at the local boundary.
Record
Preserve evidence of the decision and observed outcome.
Recover
Use approved recovery procedures when an outcome is uncertain or interrupted.
Maturity
Availability
Hood Node is in development. Evaluation and deployment-planning discussions are open; shipping hardware is not yet available.
Specifications
Compute, interfaces, enclosure, supply chain, safety controls, certifications, and support terms remain subject to validation.
Compatibility
Compatibility is published only after adapter testing and a documented support boundary.
Commercial path
Start with your edge use case, environment and authority requirements. Hood will confirm evaluation options, availability and commercial terms.

Planning note: Final compute, interfaces, enclosure, supply chain, safety controls and support terms are validated before any production deployment.
