Fossil and Silicon

Show one teaching record bound to the action, then a restart that mints nothing.

Explanation

What you are learning

Recommended first: HIOP Fundamentals. You can still study this lesson.

The teaching record is written when Rain dispatches the fresh PERMIT. It is bound to that actor, effect, resource, and request. It is a teaching-workstation record, not a production record. Decision memory keeps what was decided. Remembering the decision does not mint a new permit. After restart, the same nonce is presented again and does not execute. Silicon is memory. It is not a second way to dispatch.

Worked example

Teaching workstation

These fields were returned by the teaching workstation for this lesson. They are not a production permit.

Rain writes one teaching record

Dispatch the fresh PERMIT for lab.observe

Exercise

Try it before you check

Separate the row that writes the record from the row after restart.

What is the teaching record bound to?
Assessment
